Ty Llwynderw situated in Maesteg is a state of the art Extra Care and Residential Care facility due to open in the autumn of 2018. 

Our extra care model allows frail older people to live independently in their own self-contained apartment, with access to a home care service permanently based on site. Each scheme will also contain a residential care unit operated by the local authority, which we will have a duty to service and maintain.

The scheme consist of private apartments, hairdressing salon and communal space for social activities, spa room and restaurant facilities.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, customer-focussed individuals willing to help us provide an excellent day-to-day housekeeping service for our residents.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the Schemes.
  • Ensuring all equipment used is well maintained and in good working order and to report repairs.
  • Ensuring that all rooms and common spaces are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the building.
  • Providing a laundry service to the Residential Care unit
  • Maintaining stock sheets of all cleaning supplies.
  • Ensuring the storage and use of all cleaning materials conforms to the Scheme’s COSHH policy.

What skills do I need to have?

You will be required to have a real passion for service, and a desire to build a successful career for yourself within our organisation. Ideally, you will need to have some experience working within a professional cleaning/housekeeping environment.

You will enjoy working as part of a team and have a positive attitude to supporting your colleagues and the residents. You will also take pride in cleanliness and organisation on shift, understanding that Health and Safety essential in the workplace.

Did you know...?

You will be working 20 hours per week, typically 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. This will include working weekend and bank holidays, including Christmas.

The hours are great; typically, shift start and end times are between 9am – 2.30pm, although some earlier or later times may be required.

Bydd gofyn i chi fod yn wirioneddol angerddol am ddarparu gwasanaeth, gyda'r awydd i adeiladu gyrfa lwyddiannus i chi eich hun o fewn ein sefydliad. Yn ddelfrydol, bydd angen i chi fod wedi cael rhai profiad o weithio o fewn amgylchedd glanhau / cadw ty proffesiynol.

Byddwch yn mwynhau gweithio fel rhan o dîm a bod ag agwedd gadarnhaol o ran cefnogi eich cydweithwyr a'r preswylwyr. Byddwch hefyd yn ymfalchïo mewn glanweithdra a threfn wrth weithio'r sifft, ac yn deall bod iechyd a diogelwch yn hanfodol yn y gweithle.

Byddwch yn gweithio 20 awr bob wythnos, 4 awr y dydd yn gyffredinol, 5 diwrnod yr wythnos. Bydd hyn yn cynnwys gweithio ar benwythnosau a gwyliau banc, gan gynnwys y Nadolig.
