Days: Variety between 1 afternoon and 5 full days

What we are looking for: 

SuperStars are currently looking for an Art teacher (or as we like to call you a... ‘Art Specialist) to join our team across South Wales and the South West England for SEPTEMBER ACADEMIC YEAR.  We are looking for organised, positive, passionate individual with strong classroom management skills. Experience of working within a Primary School is desirable, experience of at least working with primary aged pupils is essential.  

This role is perfect for graduates and current students seeking to go into teaching.

As an Art Specialist a typical week may include:

  • Teaching children art techniques such as sketching and painting
  • Delivering fun art based after-school and lunch clubs
  • Developing strong relationships with pupils, school staff and parents
  • Utilising pre-prepared plans to cover topics such as Pointillism, Expressionism and Impressionism to name a few
  • Inspiring children to express themselves through the medium of art
  • Creating project work based on themes such as the 70’s, Space and many more


  • A-levels or above in an Art based discipline or teaching based qualification
  • Experience working within the Art specialism
  • Must have experience working with children aged 4 – 11 (this could be in a school environment or in a coaching role)
