What is special about this opportunity?

Our team works to encourage the people we support to deal with issues that may threaten their homes including improving budgeting skills, addressing debts, maximising income through appropriate benefits or entering employment, life skills and household management, accessing support with alcohol or substance misuse, mental and physical health and anti-social behaviour. The role will be varied and involve working with vulnerable people in their homes or temporary accommodation to prevent homelessness and develop skills needed to maintain their tenancies, change negative behaviour, maintain their health and wellbeing, progress to independent living and make appropriate choices.

This is a permanent post at 36 hours per week.

For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

 Who are we looking for?

  • To be a great Support Worker, you don’t always need previous experience or qualifications.
  • A good understanding of housing related support and welfare benefits or awareness of issues faced by people at risk of homelessness would be extremely useful in the role.
