Graduate Engineer
South Wales

Exciting opportunity for a masters, PhD, or EngD graduate to join a world leading research and technology organisation that have sites in Europe, Asia, America, and the Middle East. The company employs nearly 1,000 people worldwide and are renowned for their specialist services in materials science, metallurgy, and engineering. Due to significant growth, they are looking to expand their South Wales facility and are hiring five talented masters, PhD or EngD graduates / PhD’s in the field of materials science, materials engineering, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, integrity engineering or reliability engineering to join their innovative team. This would be your chance to work within an expanding market and to work on exciting R&D projects for a diverse and global client base in sectors such as oil & gas, marine, medical, renewable energy, construction, and aerospace.

The successful graduate will be based at the company’s state of the art R&D facility in South Wales but will also get the opportunity to visit clients across the world. You will be responsible for project management, research & development, as well as the preparation and negotiation of contracts. As the graduate project manager / graduate engineer, your duties will include:

* Analysing data from research and test results.
* Specifying and implementing technical solutions.
* Investigating and selecting new test & research techniques.
* Participating in project scoping, resource planning, and cost estimating.

To be a successful graduate project manager / graduate engineer, you will have the following skills and qualifications:

* MSc, Meng, Master’s, PhD, EngD qualification in materials science, materials engineering, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, reliability engineering or a related engineering / scientific subject.
* Project management, R&D experience as part of studies or outside of studies.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
* Industrial experience (advantageous).
* Must be willing to travel internationally.
