Opportunity for an HR administrator / assistant to join a charity committed to supporting people faced with inequality and discrimination within the local community. The organisation are committed to providing training for their colleagues, and this position is an ideal chance for a junior human resource professional to gain valuable experience working closely with a very experienced and supportive human resources manager.

As the HR administrator / assistant, you would support the HR manager in the provision of a customer-focused HR service. Detailed responsibilities will include: -

* Assisting the human resources manager with general administrative tasks including payroll and absence monitoring.
* Supporting management with the recruitment and selection of candidates.
* Conducting various checks on candidates and applicants including the right to work.
* Upkeep of electronically stored personal records including DBS checks and new staff references.

To succeed in your application for the human resources administrator / assistant, you will have the following skills and experience:

* Human resources degree or previous experience within an HR position.
* Good level of experience on Microsoft applications including Excel.
* High standard of verbal and written communication.
* Previous experience within an administrative role would be beneficial.

In return, the HR administrator / assistant will receive a salary of �18,000 per annum + pension (3%) and 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
