Business Development Manager

SERVICE SUMMARY:
Our client provides business, professional, administrative and operational support to its Occupational Therapy (OT) Case Manager members, enabling them to provide a co-ordinated provision of OT case management services.

They also provides a united brand and a shared marketing resource, a forum for networking, peer support and clinical governance and a single administrative point of contact for their customers.

SALARY: £40,000 pro rata

WORKING HOURS: Part Time - 18hrs per week (to be reviewed every 3 months initially)

There will be a 3-month probation period

LOCATION: Home based office working
Travel requirements to attend regular meetings with the directors, team (including the treasurer, supervisors and panel members), customers (existing and potential) and networking, training and business development events as required (UK based).

REPORTS TO: Directors

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Practice Administration Manager, Administrative Assistant

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB:

* To provide leadership and strategic direction to the directors and the members to ensure the delivery of an efficient and cost-effective service/business model
* To drive sustainable developments to promote, develop and expand the business, ensuring growth and prosperity/long term success of the company
* To ensure that the company has adequate and suitable resources and workforce members to complete its activities/deliver its core business

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To provide leadership and strategic direction to the company
* To ensure the services delivered are efficient and cost effective
* To develop and expand the company business ensuring long term success
* To ensure the company has suitable resources to deliver its core business
* To support the company directors and treasurer in ensuring financial sustainability of the company
* To act as Data Processor for the company

Human Resources

* To provide professional support and leadership to the Practice Administration Manager and Administrative Assistant, monitoring their performance and providing feedback and recommendations as required to improve efficiency and effectiveness
* To identify the recruitment requirements for the company from the analysis of data/statistics
* To oversee the recruitment and selection of new members according to need
* To oversee essential aspects of Practice Administration Manager's workload in times of leave

Service/Business Management

* To work with the company directors to create long-term company strategy, developing goals and objectives that tend to growth and prosperity and to assess the overall performance of the company against the business goals
* To design and implement business plans, strategies and developments to promote the attainment of the business goals, liaising with the directors on a regular basis
* To ensure that the company has adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities
* To organise and coordinate the service delivery in ways that ensure maximum productivity
* To gather, analyse and interpret external and internal data reporting back to the directors, supervisors, members and customers as appropriate
* To provide formal reports for directors, supervisors, members and customers regarding performance and business management and development on a regular basis
* To support the directors and treasurer in producing the annual re
