Sales Account Manager will be responsible for strategic business development and managing commercial interface between the company and key customers to deliver and exceed agreed revenue targets.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Sales Account Manager will include:
• Achieve and exceed sales targets at acceptable levels of profitability
• Commercially manage resulting business, both internally and externally
• Develop and manage multiple relationships with all allocated customers
• Manage the RFQ process with allocated customers
• Ensure the customer specification is feasible, achievable and deliverable
• Work closely with the Engineering and Development team and utilise available resources and working relationships with other departments to deliver customer expectations and increased profitability
• Provide timely and accurate reports, including sales forecasts and visit reports
• Develop strategic relationships with the target customer base to understand long term developments and enable new sales opportunities and new customer relationships
• Conduct competitor benchmarking reviews, identifying advances in technology, materials and tooling
• Allocate and supervise the workload for the Sales Administrator

Key Requirements:
• Excellent understanding of the automotive market, key players and competitor organisations
• Knowledge of automotive business development
• Understanding of product route to market
• Sales or Business development experience in the automotive market place
• Good commercial awareness
• People management experience
• Strong leadership style and values
• Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business
• Good presentation skills
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in an engineering or technical discipline or have equivalent experience.

Travel to work from Ebbw Vale, Newport, Hereford, Pontypool, Cwmbran, Merthyr
