Job Elements

·Ensure the operational production department metrics are achieved in a safe, timely, quality, cost efficient and productive manner.

·Manage production planning and scheduling for all manufacturing lines, raw material receipts and customer delivery.

·Also the physical organisation of work holding areas both internal and external and for the safe and effective operation.

·Lead the planning and logistics management of all sub-contract manufacturing ensuring optimum operational performance.

·Responsible for the logistical organisation of daily shipments to achieve revenue & OTIF recognition in accordance with plant daily targets

·Must continuously improve planning of manufacturing process to reduce lead times and improve product flow throughout the plant

·Must implement and review an effective process post release of cards to shop-floor to ensure 100 % OTIF

·Accountable for transport logistics and budget adherence

·Accountable for inventory management. Identifying opportunities to maximise utilisation of raw material by working with Technical and sales

The ideal candidate will have:

·Bachelor’s Degree; Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering degree highly preferred

·7+ years Production Planning and Control, Logistics related experience

·Proven production planning leadership experience in a complex manufacturing

·Proven experience of leading, coaching & developing production planning teams

·Demonstrated professional advancement in a manufacturing environment

·Strong organizational skills

·Effective verbal and written communication

·Intermediate to advanced use of SAP Systems,

·Intermediate to advanced use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook

·Able to motivate, coach and develop teams to meet performance requirements
