Customer Service Advisor
Based at Newport Road, Cardiff
£22,352.00pa
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm on a rota basis
Fixed Term Contract for a period of 6 months to cover maternity leave

About the role...

To help us deliver outstanding customer service, our front line customer contact team act as the first point of contact for our customers via the telephone and for face-to-face enquiries.

The role includes a variety of administrative tasks including allocation of void properties and housing benefit administration, and liaising with our contractors on repair issues. No two days will be the same and you must be able to juggle manage a variety of administrative tasks and handle telephone callers and visitors with professionalism at all times.

You will be  enthusiastic, with strong administrative, organisational and problem solving skills, and enjoy being part of a busy team.  The ability and confidence to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, is essential, providing general advice and information to our customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.

A cool head will be needed at all times as you must be able to prioritise conflicting demands and manage sometimes challenging situations with initiative and confidence.  It goes without saying that you should be professional, flexible, reliable and well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks throughout each day.

As well as having front line customer contact and administrative experience, any previous experience of working in or alongside a social housing organisation would be an advantage, as would any knowledge of welfare reforms, rent arrears, repairs and maintenance.
