Multilingual Administrators
Cardiff Bay

Who we are:

We are a dynamic and expanding company based in offices overlooking Cardiff Bay’s Roath Basin.  Our multi-lingual, highly experienced team provides an award-winning service to patients and their families who have suffered injury or illness while abroad, as well as supporting our clients across all aspects of the industry, from the initial purchase of an insurance policy to any claim that may arise.  We work with major insurers and underwriters worldwide, ensuring that policy holders and corporate clients receive the best possible service.

You would be part of a vibrant and multi-national team, with a strong sense of community and a thriving social life.  Our offices benefit from a popular location within Cardiff Bay, a private roof terrace and easy access via public transport.

Our team:

We provide emergency medical assistance and logistical support to travel insurance policy holders and corporate clients who become sick or get injured overseas. Although we work in a call centre environment we are not a traditional call centre - we are not target driven and we do not sell. Our main focus is the service we provide to our clients.

We are open 7 days a week and our shift rotations are:

  • 7:45am – 3:45pm
  • 10:00am – 18:00pm
  • 12 noon - 20:00pm

The role:

The great thing about working for Global Response is that every day is different. Clients call in from all over the world needing our assistance; whether they have been bitten by a monkey in Thailand or have broken a leg following a ski accident, our administrators need to be able to take the first call, gather all the information required and set up a case. They will then verify the caller’s insurance details and pass the case to one of our Case Managers to provide whatever further assistance is needed.  Our administrators have to be calm and organised with outstanding people skills, as we deal with patients and their families who may be upset and worried about the situation in which they find themselves. This is a very fast-paced, exciting role with the potential to progress through the company should you have what it takes.

This job might be for you if:

  • You have good communications skills; you can explain just about anything to anyone, and you’re comfortable communicating in writing and on the phone;
  • You like helping people;
  • You enjoy solving problems and you think on your feet;
  • You love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions;
  • You are patient, level-headed and cool under pressure;
  • You pay attention to the details - as far as you are concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing well, every single time;
  • You like learning new things and you can learn quickly; when things change you know how to roll with the punches;
  • You like being part of a team;
  • You are bilingual (not necessary but preferred).
