Salary: £20,858 per annum

This position is fixed term till 31st March 2018 (with potential for furth funding beyong March 2018)

Working 35 hours per week, mainly Monday- Friday 9.30am- 5pm with flexibility to support the needs of service users. With on call duties which included being available to go out to support a young person on scheme.

We are looking for the right person to join our Emphasis team. The role of a Young persons Advisor is to support young people to avoid them becoming homeless:

  • To enhance engagement and attendance in education, training and work environments.
  • To reduce Anti Social Behaviour e.g. offending / drug & alcohol misuse.
  • To support family units to allow them to support with the above.
  • To provide meaningful / diversionary activities.
  • To provide education sessions for young people about the realities of youth homelessness.
  • To support a group of Peer Mentors with educating other young people about the realities of youth homelessness.
  • To engage young people who are difficult to engage.
