Opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company who has invested heavily in South Wales over the last ten years. Business are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer based in Cardiff to join an expanding team. You will receive good benefits such as healthcare plan, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme vouchers, life cover, pension contribution (5%) and 25-days holiday + 8 bank holiday. The company directly employ over 500 staff and several hundred sub-contractors in South Wales.

As the Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will be working closely with an engineering team of around 40 professionals including the engineering manager, electrical engineers, planning engineers and electrical technicians. You will undertake a staged 3-5-year development plan which will see you learn about the different production areas within the business. You will be working towards becoming a fully competent Electrical Engineer which is a management position, once fully trained you will be responsible for.

* Development of maintenance plans
* Root cause analysis of complex engineering problems
* Project management of improvement projects
* Advanced maintenance on motors, drives and PLC systems
* High voltage electricity
* Instrumentation commissioning and maintenance
* Health and safety including creation of risk assessments
* Leading teams of engineering contractors

To be a successful Graduate Electrical Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:

* An electrical engineering degree or closely related.
* Appropriate level of experience on Microsoft Applications (Excel, Project etc.)
* Good planning and organisational skills.

In return the Graduate Electrical Engineer will receive a salary of £25,000 per annum progressive to £35,000 per annum over a three to five-year period.
