The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new products and projects to agreed timescales, quality standards, and budget.

As the Design Engineer, your duties will include:

* Preparing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of new and existing products to support projects and engineering changes.
* Managing engineering changes to ensure decisions are compliant with relevant standards.
* Writing technical reports of testing, analysis of situations to support product introduction, existing products, and record keeping.
* Preparing, updating, and implementing Bills of Materials for new and existing products to enable manufacture, costing and routing of products.
* Applying engineering first principles during the design process.
* Applying logical problem-solving methodologies during the design process.
* Adhering to policies, systems, and standards to maintain compliance for both product and business.
* Engaging with production, sales, and the customer to ensure the design department meets the needs of the business.

To be a successful Design Engineer, you will have the following skills and experience:

* Must have proven design engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Must be proficient in 3D CAD packages.
* Knowledge of plastic part design & manufacture, and metal part design & manufacture.
