• To prepare detailed Bills of Materials for the new product designs and product changes. The role may suit an experienced Engineering Administrator,• You must be well organised with strong administration skills. You will liaise with multiple internal departments to gather and manage information. To accurately enter and maintain MRP Bills of Materials. Full training is available
• To issue all relevant engineering documentation to the appropriate departments
• The experienced Engineering Document Administrator will create and maintain document and drawing control systems.
• To create and maintain control systems for Engineering information.
• To process Engineering Changes
• To maintain all General Filing Systems in the Engineering Department
• To enter and maintain PCR’s on the Company intranet system

The activities included within this role are all centred around controlling documentation within the Engineering function, the data control within the PLM system and associated systems is key for this position.

The successful candidate will need to be very methodical and highly organised, they will also need to be quite assertive in their personality and able to co-ordinate and manage internal teams.

It is also key that the candidate is very IT competent.

Reports To: Engineering Director

• Creation of structured Bills of Materials from information supplied by an Engineer
• Obtaining quotes from preferred suppliers for in-house manufactured painted parts.
• Entering new Stock Code numbers on MRP System for in-house manufactured and assembled parts followed by construction of the bill of materials.
• Issuing copies of latest revision drawings and either controlled or uncontrolled

• Creation and maintenance of Engineering databases
• Internal drawing databases
• Customer drawing databases
• Engineers timesheet database
• Component and material standards and specifications database

• Communicate new revisions of Standards/Specifications to Internal Departments

• Engineering Changes (Administrative Duties)
• Maintaining database for outstanding PCR/ECR.
• Chair the weekly PCR Review Meeting & ensure processes are followed
• Revisions to Bills of Materials
• Coordinating actions with all departments.
• Release of processed PCR/ECR.
• Maintenance of General Filing Systems
• All files to be labelled in order to quickly identify contents
• All files to be stored in suitable locations
• Information to be archived at appropriate time and in an orderly manner.
• Monthly Reports
• Engineering hours worked on NPI projects, Engineering Changes etc.
• Outstanding Engineering Changes
• General Queries
• Accurately answer product/process queries from Customers, Supplier’s and Internal Departments

£23-26,000 dep on exp +Benefits

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) and Lotus Approach.

Travel to work from Pontypridd, Blackwood, Newport, Cardiff, Tredegar, Cwmbran
