Opportunity to work for a global organisation with a Blue-Chip customer base in a role which will see the successful Quality Engineer working as part of a well-structured team in a position which offers variety in its workload. You will focus on maintaining aspects of the quality systems onsite to ensure conformance through a structured process and also guarantee that all documentation relating to product conformance is completed.

The company have recently opened 2 new plants in Europe and South America and have expansion plans for 2 more in the near future to cope with demand. They have quadrupled their turnover in recent years and have substantial order books through to 2022.

As the Quality Engineer, your duties will include:

* Liaising and co-operating with Quality management and standards bodies
* Ensuring there is support to the manufacturing area for the introduction of standards
* The Quality Engineer will ensure that the business oversees its Quality activities with both customers and suppliers
* Striving to play your part in the achievement of business and departmental KPI’s and targets
* Embrace and encourage a team ethic throughout all business activities
* Facilitate and inspire a culture of continual improvement

To be a successful Quality Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:

* Previous experience within a quality related role within automotive
* Knowledge and experience of working with processes such as APQP/PPAP etc.
* Familiarity with TS16949 and ISO14001 as quality standards
* A Knowledge and understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools and techniques

In return, the Quality Engineer will receive a salary of £30,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, etc.
