Based across Bridgend and surrounding areas (35p paid per mile)
The service is open Monday-Sunday 7:00-23:00

What's the role?
reach in Bridgend County are looking for Home Carers to join our exciting new service. Our objective is to allow people to stay living in their homes independently through providing them with the support they need. So you will travel from client to client delivering domiciliary care. We are looking to develop our already established Extra Care provision in the region - Llys Ton, at Kenfig Hill - taking it into the community itself, to ensure that the people we are supporting get the care they need. We are looking for staff with excellent communication skills and a desire to work with people from different backgrounds with varying needs.

Who we are looking for?
As the ideal candidate you must have a desire to work with predominantly elderly people in their own homes, supporting them with activities of daily living including washing, dressing, personal care, shopping, cooking and light cleaning duties. You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle to be able to travel between houses. A background of working in care would be useful, but not essential. More importantly we are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for caring. We appreciate good work ethics, as well as positive attitudes and behaviours. With your genuine love of care, we can provide you with all the tools you'll need. We tailor your development dependant on current skills and experience through our comprehensive pre-employment training, induction and ongoing structured support. With all of the above, your confidence and competency will grow within the role.

The ideal candidate you will have:

  • Experience in supporting people, or a will to develop in this area
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent written and report writing skills
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Confident in lone working
  • A driver with own transport (as shifts can start/finish out of public transport running times)
