Our client is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their team.
You will be responsible to support the mechanical evaluation and development of Home Appliances and their associated components, assemblies and systems. This role will involve some physical manual handling.
This is a temporary role, looking for an immediate start. Pay rate will depend on experience - between £11.40 - £14.40 per hour.
Responsibilities will include:
� Evaluate products, components and systems, from concept to production, to relevant standards, using
� Appropriate and recognised tools and methods.
� Adhere to applicable regulations, company policies and quality systems.
� Maintain tools, equipment and the lab environment.
� Prepare analysis of own testing using MS Excel.
� Prepare reports of own test results.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
� Ideally have some experience working within a design laboratory environment with a mechanical engineering bias although not essential.
� Good working knowledge of MS Office software Excel and Word.
� Previous experience of temperature measurement and testing would be desirable.
� The ability to write reports, evaluate products / components and interpret test results is essential.
� Must be an effective team player with a flexible attitude and good communication skills
� Self-starting with good initiative.
Qualifications required - HNC / HND in engineering related discipline plus 5 GCSEs - Maths and English Grade C or above.
