Job Role: Customer Service Officer – Legal
Salary: £13,500 rising to £15,000 (pro rata)
Hours: 21 hours per week (Various Evenings 2 or 3 per week) & Sat 9-4pm and Sun 10-4pm)

Our Client is looking for a number of customer focused individuals to join their expanding Legal Services Contact Team to be based in our Cardiff office. As an Advisor it all starts with you and this will involve you building relationships with customers by demonstrating that you understand customer’s individual needs and providing services to help meet those needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain legal industry experience. The team's role is to be the first point of contact for our new customers to establish their needs in relation to their claim or query and inform them of legal processes.
Your initial responsibilities will include administration relating to new customer files. This will include preparing the case for the initial part of the relevant legal process in readiness to be passed to a case handler. You will quickly progress to making and taking calls with new customers.
The role will then progress to additional responsibilities including: providing great customer service by contacting new customers as soon as possible and gathering information required to assess their claim and assisting with their immediate needs. The role extends to a number of legal disciplines including civil litigation, personal injury and legal helpline.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and people skills, be diplomatic and empathetic. We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible individuals with a positive approach to customer service. You will also be organised and able to prioritise; be able to work to targets and cope well under pressure. An excellent telephone manner is essential.
Ideally you should be IT literate, however, your journey will begin with full legal and system training delivered by our team of experienced staff.
You will work a 21-hour week between Monday and Sunday. Shift availability ranges from 4pm to 9pm two evenings per week or 6pm-9pm 3 evenings per week plus weekends would be 9am-4pm Saturdays and 10am – 4pm Sundays.
