The job in a nutshell
To organise and handle customer vehicle collections and part exchange handovers, delivering an experience that exceeds customer expectations to help retain our customers for life.

What you will be doing

  • To deliver a consistent high quality of service for every customer. To provide an outstanding welcome to all customers collecting a vehicle.
  • To deliver high quality vehicle handover experiences for all customers, including all administrative and vehicle preparation activity.
  • To maintain the collection calendar and plan own time and activity accordingly.
  • To work with the Business Specialist team to ensure customer collection appointments are well managed and ensure good communication between Business Specialists and Collections teams to manage customer flow and minimise wait times.
  • Ensure adequate pre delivery inspections for all vehicles prior to handover. Ensure any required remedial work is highlighted to management and scheduled to ensure smooth customer flow.
  • To complete all administrative work associated with the pre-delivery inspection, handover and dispatch of vehicles.
  • To move vehicles scheduled for collection within the store so that they are prepared and dressed for handover.
  • To demonstrate the controls for a car during handover to ensure a customer is familiar with their operation and answer any questions
  • To ensure any customer issues are dealt with professionally and problems resolved quickly and efficiently
  • Have a can-do attitude to ensure customers are provided with a great experience and sales Colleagues are supported in achieving sales targets
  • To register all Paint Protection certificates. To request customers to provide an online review of their experience
  • Liaise with valet teams filling out required paperwork and sending to Workshop for cars requiring re-valet or Paint Protection
  • Work with Sales Admin regarding any missing documents, keys or vehicle accessories and to obtain vehicle white packs from Sales Admin
  • Inspecting a customer part exchange vehicle to ensure it is in the described condition prior to vehicle dispatch.
  • As part of the Customer Experience team, deal with any telephone or walk in customers regarding faults / complaints, and ensure all details are logged on the Customer Service system or escalated as appropriate to a Customer Service Consultant.
  • To contact customers after collection to resolve any issues or create an ongoing relationship with the Company
  • To remain flexible to the needs of the business to ensure vehicle collections run smoothly.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested

What we expect from you

  • Essential to hold a full UK/EU driving license
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • (desirable) A working knowledge of the motor retail industry
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally
  • Basic IT skills
  • Articulate and confident in managing complaints.  Ability to show empathy but remain resilient
