Job Title: Junior IT Technician.
Location: Commutable from Lampeter, Aberaeron, Tregaron, Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen.
Salary: £17,000 per annum, increasing to £19,000 per annum after successful 6-month probation period.
Start Date: November / December 2016.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week , working from Monday to Friday, 08.00 - 17.00.

Our customer from the manufacturing sector is currently seeking an enthusiastic Junior IT Technician to work within their Support team providing support for the IT Infrastructure across their office / site. The successful candidate will provide day to day operational and back-office support for the business. This includes every aspect of IT Infrastructure as well as ensuring successful project delivery. This role would be ideal for a person with enthusiasm and perhaps some commercial IT Support experience seeking a challenging career in this area.

Working within this IT Support capacity, you will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
*overall software and hardware support for the site.
*provide day to day operational and back-office support of all IT systems on the site.
*be actively involved in the ongoing development of all systems and processes.
*ensure the accurate monitoring of the company's production activities and liaise with other IT, Finance and Administration Colleagues.
*maintain IT hardware and equipment: PC's, terminals, printers and other office peripherals, barcode scanners, barcode labelling equipment.
*work within a team and also on your own initiative to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.
*find solutions to problems and have a hands-on approach to support activities.
*providing technical support to staff.

We anticipate that the successful candidate would have some of the following experience and knowledge:
*academic studies in an IT-related discipline, coupled with commercial experience within an IT position.
*you will understand the Microsoft Office package and have up to date Windows knowledge, ideally of Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 7, Windows 8 and MS Office Suite as well as having some basic networking (TCP/IP) skills.
*have a genuine passion for IT.
*have an adaptable approach which will allow you to learn and understand bespoke technologies quickly.
*desirable to possess knowledge of networking technologies and associated peripherals and software.
*the ability to function well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
*excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
*well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
