Accounts Administrator - Newport
Temporary to Permanent
Salary £16,000 - £18,000
Due to an increase in workload, an exciting opportunity has been created with one of our clients in Newport. The company are doing exceptionally well and have recently acquired a number of businesses.
Working and reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be split between their two sites. Ideally they are looking for the successful candidate to work approximately 3 mornings a week from one, and the remainder of the week you will be based at their Head Office. Both sites are within close proximity.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Raising non account invoices
2. Dealing with the sales ledger, raising invoices, posting payments to the system
3. Looking at debtor reports and chasing any out-standing payments
4. Taking and processing payments onto Sage
5. Weighing vehicles in and out of the yard
6. Filing and general administration tasks
7. Providing support to the billing team
The successful candidate will ideally be a car driver in order to commute between the two sites. You will possess strong communication skills, coupled with a background in administration. It is essential you are flexible and happy to turn your hand to anything that is required. The role is being offered initially on a temporary basis but for the successful candidate my client is looking to offer a permanent role.
The role would suit an individual that is not afraid of hard work, can roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty! In return, my client offers a busy and friendly working environment and long-term the ability to move about within the organisation to gain new skills.
