Activity Coordinator (Part-time):
One part-time candidate required to plan and conduct daily activities to the enhance quality of life and well-being of elderly residents especially those with dementia.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience and training in planning and delivering varied daily activities to the elderly in a residential care setting as well as possessing ability to organise and co-ordinate group events such as summer BBQ, open day etc. Musical ability will be an advantage but not essential.
Must have attended a designated course to confirm the ability to provide meaningful activities for older people with dementia. Formal qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team working alongside in-house dementia lead and under the supervision of the home’s registered manager
Auto-enrolment pension scheme and training opportunities
3 hours per day between 2:00PM and 5:00PM. Required to work a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 days per week and may include Saturdays in rotation. Position may suit one person working 6 days or 2 person working 3 days each.
ASAP subject to Enhanced DBS check and references
Rate Of Pay:
£7.50 to £8:00 per hour plus attendance enhancement for regular fulfilment of contracted hours. Weekend enhancement for Saturday working when worked..
