The Governors of The School invite serving Headteachers or experienced practitioners holding a NPQH qualification to apply for the role of Headteacher.

Ysgol Heulfan is situated in the village of Gwersyllt around three miles from Wrexham. We have the beautiful Alyn Waters and Moss Valley on our doorstep. The school is the heart of our community, and we love to get out and about whether that be visiting care homes, delivering fruit and veg grown in gardening club, or learning about money in our local supermarket.

  • Develop each child’s full potential in all aspects of school life, and promote skills for life.
  • Show a strong commitment to promoting wellbeing and pupil voice.
  • Maintain and strengthen the links across the three schools promoting best practice and positive relationships to further develop the school as a  whole.
  • Create an environment which secures effective learning for all pupils and promotes high standards of achievement.
  • Be committed to a nurturing approach that supports all our pupils and their families, particularly those with PMLD & SLD (profound and Multiple Leaning Disabilities & Severe Learning Difficulties).
