We’re looking for a well-rounded, talented, enthusiastic, and highly organised Landscape Architect with a particular focus in landscape planning to join our growing Landscape Team in either our Cheltenham, Cirencester or Cardiff office.
The Role
You will be working across a range of project sizes, types and complexities including new settlements, renewable energy projects and world class leisure facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop professional skills and technical ability, working closely with our existing team of experienced and respected Landscape Architects and the wider EDP Team. This post will offer the successful candidate a wealth of experience encompassing not only landscape, but also aspects of ecology, heritage, masterplanning and arboriculture.
You will share our desire to create environmentally responsive and exceptional places; and be at the leading edge of professional best practice.
Your Skills
Of course, we’ll need you to have all the right qualifications and experience – excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. But to enjoy your time at EDP, you’ll also need to be personable, passionate, and proactive. You will:
- Be a confident professional with drive and ambition;
- Have an interest in multi-disciplinary planning and strategic design;
- Have excellent written communication skills with an eye for detail;
- Be confident with graphical communication, as well as the standard Microsoft packages. It would be advantageous (though not essential) for you also to have experience of working with GIS software.
- Be a client focussed team player who is decisive in nature and takes great pride in their project work; and
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills which are essential.
Learning and Development
We’ll always invest in our people and have excellent learning and development opportunities for all our Team Members. This includes an extensive internal training programme to expand knowledge of our multi-disciplinary projects and roles within these. So, you can be confident you’ll grow and develop both personally and professionally when you join us.
EDP Benefits
The salary for this post is to be agreed based on qualifications and experience and will form part of an excellent benefits package, including 5% employer pension contributions; private health insurance; life assurance; 30 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays and birthday holiday); TOIL system; hybrid and flexible working, a profit share bonus scheme; carbon offsetting for every employee; and many more!
