This is a high-impact role where you’ll champion continuous improvement, challenge assumptions, and collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance impairment forecasting and reporting capabilities. Your work will directly support regulatory compliance and strengthen our financial resilience.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead IFRS9 Reporting: Own the month-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and insightful analysis of impairment metrics.
  • Drive Insight: Present key outputs to senior forums, explain variances, and propose Post Model Adjustments (PMAs) backed by strong rationale.
  • Support Governance & Audit: Partner with External Reporting and respond to auditor queries, ensuring transparency and compliance.
  • Forecast Losses: Coordinate the loss forecasting process, challenging assumptions and documenting inputs to deliver reliable projections.
  • Model Oversight: Act as a key finance stakeholder in reviewing IFRS9 model changes, methodology, and assumptions.
  • Strategic Projects: Lead initiatives to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and analytical capability.

What We’re Looking For

  • A numerical degree (Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or similar).
  • Proven experience leading IFRS9 reporting or modelling processes.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS9 components (PD, EAD, LGD, staging, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills; SAS/SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to translate technical detail into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of banking risk management and regulatory frameworks (Basel, CRR, EBA, IFRS9).

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: Your work will shape impairment strategy and influence executive decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work with talented teams across Finance and Risk.
  • Growth: Opportunities to lead strategic projects and enhance your expertise.
  • Flexibility: Hybrid working options to support work-life balance.
  • Inclusive Culture: We value diversity and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
