1. Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales is a charity, and a family of seven national museums and one collections centre located across Wales.
2. The Head of Learning will direct and lead the development and delivery of Amgueddfa Cymru’s Learning Strategy and associated public programmes, taking inspiration from the collection and the museum settings.
3. As a senior leader and Head of Department in the Experience, Learning & Engagement Division, the post holder will also deputies for the Divisional Director as required.

Job Summary

The Head of Learning will direct and lead the development and delivery of Amgueddfa Cymru’s Learning Strategy and associated public programmes, taking inspiration from the collection and the museum settings.

Learning, in its widest form, is central to Amgueddfa Cymru’s purpose. The post holder will play a key role in developing learning opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

As a senior leader and Head of Department in the Experience, Learning & Engagement Division, the post holder will also deputies for the Divisional Director as required. They will raise the profile of Amgueddfa Cymru’s work in the field of education, health and wellbeing with key political stakeholders and funders, and strengthen Amgueddfa Cymru’s impact nationally and internationally.
