The Wenvoe Arms is a pretty, traditional village pub which oozes charm, warmth and hospitality. The pub has a cosy and comfortable atmosphere accompanied with excellent service.
Digby and Jennie have a wealth of experience in the licensed trade. During the past forty years they have run similar establishments throughout the Vale of Glamorgan. They also ran pubs in Cornwall and Devon. Whilst in Cornwall they achieved recognition in the Michelin Pub Guide.
Due to a retirement, we are looking to recruit a full time or part time (5 day or 4 day week) to join our energetic team.
You must be versatile, hard working, and conscientious. Chef experience of any level will be considered as we’re looking for somebody that can work well with our current kitchen staff. Lots of continuous training will be provided.
Dependent on experience but competitive within the industry + tips.
No shifts on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve (night), or New Year's Day.
We serve fresh, seasonal, locally sourced food—restaurant-quality dishes in a great pub atmosphere. Our ingredients include fresh fish, high-quality meat from top butchers, and carefully selected produce. Our outdoor area also features a wood-fired pizza oven and a fish & chips trailer. Circa 65 meal servings per day.

The pub is the hub of the village as well as a destination for tourists who visit the many attractions in the area throughout the year. The pub offers bar and lounge as well as a function room for selected occasions. During the winter months you can cosy up in the bar areas with roaring log firs whilst enjoying your food or just a relaxing drink. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar, subject to space and time.
