We are currently advertising for a Review, Examination and Policy Manager to join our client in Cardiff.
Key Duties
- Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships especially with other teams within the Company who have an interaction with the review, examination and policy influencing functions.
- Co-ordinate the response of the Review, Examination and Policy team in the following key areas:
- Initiation of research, evaluation of findings and where appropriate subsequent production of guidance, reports or briefings.
- Provision of support to the Information and Enquiries team to support responses to individual cases
- Maximise the opportunities to influence policy and practice. Develop a flexible approach to producing key policy statements.
- Allocation of team resources to support Review and Examination activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- At least two years experience at managerial level preferably working in a policy or investigatory related environment.
- Experience of working with and interpreting legislation.
- Practiced in using research evidence to influence policy, practice and decision makers.
- A practical understanding of the public sector and related political environments
- Experience of working with experts such as legal advisors, regulators, policy makers and implementers, researchers, and politicians.
- Experience of project leadership, project management, and supervising the work of others.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualifications or experience.
The ability to speak Welsh would be a bonus although not essential
