To control and support value stream quality activities, ensuring that the product quality is met on time and in full. Support the manufacturing team in achieving the value streams business objectives with regard H&S, quality and OTIF whilst maintaining compliance.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.

2. Assist quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.

3. Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the product quality, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.

4. Develop training to build quality awareness.

5. Interface with engineering and operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with approved data.

6. Support the inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with thte relevant requirements of the customer and the business QMS.

7. Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits, finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.

8. Analyse failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.

9. Support the creation and maintain company quality documentation, such as SOPs, APQP, quality procedures, etc.

10. Support the management and improvement of customer scorecards.

11. Preparation of QA reports.

Personal Profile - Skills and Experience

1. Proven track record in a quality engineering role / environment, within a busy manufacturing environment, with knowledge of quality tools and techniques.

2. Strong analytical skills, with knowledge of root cause and CA/PA systems.

3. Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of excellent communication skills and the ability to influence a team to get things done.

4. Results driven - must be able to set, monitor and appropriately manage the achievement of business targets.

5. Must be able to build strong working relationships with shop-floor and middle to senior management, in order to address shared business issues.

6. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise requirements.
