A market leading manufacturer in South Wales is currently recruiting for a Head of Procurement to set the procurement strategy and to manage its implementation across a number of operating Divisions of the company. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded company with a very strong market presence across the globe. They are currently expanding operations significantly so this is a great time to join and develop a career within a progressive business.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Define procurement policy and strategy for all materials, goods and services
• Manage the purchasing functions serving the 3 main product/service areas
• Develop relationships at a senior level with key suppliers
• Deliver long term savings on all bought goods and services
• Develop supplier assessment and measurement techniques to identify best value suppliers
• Develop and implement KPIs for the procurement team and key suppliers

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a senior procurement role
• Will have worked within a contracting organisation or a multi-site manufacturing organsiation
• Ideally educated to Degree level preferably MCIPS
• Demonstrable success in a similar lead role
