Job Elements: -
• As Senior Scientist you will be a key member of the R&D synthesis team. Besides being a part of this team you will work closely with the Product Manager for peptide products and be involved in scientific collaborations.
• The position will involve both hands-on laboratory synthesis and customer/user interactions from time to time. You will have a thorough knowledge of modern peptide synthesis methods and a good working knowledge of analytical instrumentation including analytical methods for peptides.
• Develop application data that support peptide products.
• Explore new applications based on state-of-the-art literature methods.
• Provide technical support for peptide synthesis customers.
• Support the Product Manager with comparative data on competitor products.
• Interact with academic groups as required.
• Act as the internal customer during development projects.
• Translate customer demands into technical requirements for development projects.
• Attend scientific meetings to present posters and give oral presentations.
The ideal candidate will have:
• PhD relevant to solid phase peptide synthesis
• A minimum of five years hands-on experience in peptide chemistry
• Experience with instrumentation for organic synthesis and analysis
• Industrial experience is preferred
• Experience of working in an international environment
• Fluent in English and Swedish
