As an online marketer, you’ll have a firm grasp of all aspects of internet marketing, from SEO, hands-on link building to writing and adding content on the intranet.
It’s important that you are as comfortable knee deep in web analytics as with creative copy writing, balancing the technical aspects of SEO with a sound understanding of marketing and creative writing.
You thrive in a fast paced environment, meeting project deadlines and providing timely responses to adhoc requests. You’ll be working across the marketing team so your ability to talk in jargon-free plain English is key - providing clear, intelligent advice while inputting ideas that lead to highly successful projects.
Above all you’ll be enthusiastic and have a hands-on approach to everything you do.
Your day to day role will include
- Supporting our marketing teams in their day-to-day web activity and website management
- Managing web analytics and reporting campaign performance
- Management of email marketing system / campaigns
- Supporting web development projects that fulfil SEO objectives for the sites
- Setting up and administering ongoing Link building activity across all Group divisions
- Writing copy for the Group intranet
- Supporting the Group’s social media activity
Skills / Experience:
- University degree (or have a very good reason for not having one - there are plenty)
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Minimum 1 year hands-on work experience in search engine optimisation with a track record for successfully improving individual rankings for keywords/phrases and improving overall site traffic
- Deep understanding of search engine technology, functionality, and optimization tactics
- Creative link builder, with plenty of examples of past achievements
- Great with web analytics, Google Analytics Professional Qualification a bonus
- Ability to use Photoshop
- Strong technical aptitude with a good understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, basic web server technology would be an advantage - although on the job training will be given
- Productive, able to deliver to a deadline whilst being extremely well organised
Salary: £19Kpa. Based in Caerphilly.
