Housekeeping Supervisor, St David's Hotel & Spa, Cardiff.
An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join the team at The St David's Hotel & Spa, Cardiff.
You will be responsible for maintaining standards of cleanliness and product presentation in all areas, while enhancing a warm and friendly customer care/service environment for our guests. You will ensure the appropriate level of security is maintained in all areas to create a safe environment for our guests and employees whilst ensuring all maintenance is reported and resolved.
Specific duties will include:
- Ensures grooming standards are being met and maintained both personally and for the team, enhancing a professional image for our guests
- Ensures all signing in and out procedures are being performed accurately
- Attends and conducts daily briefings in order to provide up to date information
- Performs all duties relating to opening and closing the housekeeping department to ensure an efficient and proactive service for our guests
- Performs all daily duties to ensure all guest areas are checked and maintained to the standard required
- Identifies and carries out training and development needs among the team
- Provides guest with requested services at all times and records special requests in guest history
- Records and stores all lost property items accurately according to the guidelines
- Ensures any malfunctioning equipment and maintenance problems are dealt with and followed through to ensure guest satisfaction
- Ensures all equipment and cleaning supplies are used in accordance with COSHH to ensure employee safety
- Carries out any other duties as necessary to assist the team and our guests
The ideal candidate will be extremely well presented with an excellent level of English and will already have good general housekeeping knowledge and experience, preferably from a high quality establishment/hotel.
Supervisory experience would be an advantage.
